Tuckerman Babcock outlines illegal use of business, other complaints

Anchorage, Alaska – Alaska Republican Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock today filed a complaint against Libertarian Joe Miller and his company, Restoring Liberty, LLC, for numerous violations of election laws.

Miller is the Libertarian candidate who is running for U.S. Senate.

The complaint outlines violations that appear specifically intended to mislead the public by concealing the Miller campaign’s acceptance of unlawful corporate contributions, and the reporting of made-up “in-kind” contributions that create a false impression of the sources and level of support for his candidacy. Miller also concealed and omitted thousands of dollars in expenditures in the third quarter for the purpose of creating an impression that he had more resources available than he actually does. Finally, Miller’s campaign is not including required disclaimers on his communications and materials.
